DILLY BAG… according to the Macquarie Dictionary, a small bag for odds and ends, bits and pieces etc.
The word "dilly" originally referred to a bag or basket made from woven grass or similar fibre and comes from the Aboriginal language Yagara (from the Brisbane region).
Over the years, we’ve made a lot of these little bags for various bits and bobs and when the kids were little they made perfect pencil cases. In fact my son said he used his all through Primary school, then High School and then when he did his apprenticeship! Probably still going strong somewhere — if only he could find it!
We decided to make these Dilly Bags in two sizes for you to put whatever bits and bobs in you like!
SMALL - 280mm x 170mm
LARGE - 320mm x 260mm
